It’s Tuesday! Only four more days until our daughter graduates from the CIMT program in Manchester, UK. The team has worked relentlessly in making the CIMT activities visually accessible to address our daughter’s Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) needs.
The other day, a father in this CVI awareness Facebook group shared a photo of bright orange balloons, great for Halloween, but also perfect for kids with CVI. It just so happens that Ruth has purchased and blown up enough of the exact same balloons to surround my daughter with. How neat?

Another activity our daughter adores today is the one where she pushes a big red button that triggers the large teddy bear to dance. It seems that she looks at the button and at the bear too! Today, she has enough strength in her left arm to push the button on her own a handful of times. We are definitely seeing her use her left hand more often.

Cindy has a deep interest in Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) and is currently studying Early Childhood Education. She focuses most of her time on her energetic daughter: playing, cuddling and helping to make her world visually accessible. Cindy holds a degree in Marketing and has worked in the not-for-profit sector for many years.
